Pol Sambol

Lunch @ Sea Fish Restaurant in Colombo.

 

The other accompanying side dish of my lunch - Pol Sambol (coconut sambol) is a traditional Sri Lankan dish made from coconut, onions, lime, chillies and spices. It kinda reminded me of Indonesian Kerisik.

 

I do love the dry spicy dessicated coconut aroma and taste of this side dish, finding many resemblances with both Malay and Indonesian cookings.
