The starter to the 12 course "Chef's Menu" - and the du jour ingredient this year - root vegetable, with grated cheese and fresh goat cheese.
The slightly sharp but creamy cheeses did wonders to tame the raw earthy tastes of the parsnip, purple carrot, making them crunchy but not offending.
