黎家竹筒饭 (Li Tribe Bamboo Glutinous Rice)
Dinner @ "海南人家".
The Li tribe is a minority tribe in Hainan Island and in fact, I have an uncle-in-law from this tribe.
They seem to share many traditions as the folks of Southeast Asia, including the culinary practice of cooking glutinous rice inside bamboo.
Despite the rich colour however, the rice was surprisingly bland and tasted really singularly only of white pepper.......
