(Japanese Wagyu) Roast Beef Don

Late lunch @ "Red Rock" @ Harajuku (Tokyo).

 

We saw this on the news (it's all in Japanese....the hosts were going a list of something significant and presto, the No.4 featured long queues of people.....queuing for food...and I was immediately intrigued)

 

A quick Google (mercy!) and I found the restaurant. I really need to go check it out and reasoned that the best time to hit the place is in-between meals. I WAS WRONG!!! The queue never ends.

 

Believe me, it was a close to 1.5 hours wait at 2pm, way after lunch time and there was still a long queue waiting when I left!

 

The old saying goes that food tastes a lot better when one is hungry.

 

This one is "ORGASMICALLY" a lot better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Oishi! Delicious! 好吃到爽! Everything superlative!!!

 

I opted for the standard American Beef Steak Don and the Japanese Wagyu Roast Beef Don. Served just past "Blue & Black" and plenty pink in the middle, the beef were so tender and juicy - they were like slivers of meaty clouds. (Eyes rolling back into socket in pure culinary joy)

 

I took an instant liking for the Roast Beef Don while mate almost refused to share the Steak Don.
