Fried Brussel Sprouts, Walnut Pesto & Iberico Cheese

Lunch @ "The Social Commune".

 

A big surprise.

I wouldn't know this is made with brussel sprouts if the menu had not indicated so.

The dish resembled a marriage between a Rosti and snow-covered tundra ice - intriguingly alluring.

 

The Brussel sprouts were served with each leaf individually peeled and deep fried - almost like lotus petals and the shaved Iberico cheese "carpet" did great wonder to work with the earthy-greenness of the cruciferous vegetable to deliver a surprising tasty hit with aplomb.
