Dinner @ "Savour 2015", a Michelin-star studded culinary event in Shanghai.

 

A weird tasting dish on offer from 'Elefante', a local restaurant in Shanghai, famous for its Spanish dishes.

 

Granted that the beef cheeks were tender - the beef cheeks and banana simply clashed, could not agree and there was no middle ground. It was like Clash of the Titans in the mouth.

 

I think this was a dish that lost its way on its path towards attempting to be avant-garde.
