榛蘑 (Hazel Mushroom/Honey Mushroom) {Armillaria mellea}

This is the famous Hazel Mushrooms/Honey Mushrooms of Northeast China, where it is regarded as a regional delicacy.

 

Easily available in the dried form in this region, it has an aroma very similar to that of Shiitake - sulphurous, earthy and woody.
