Traditional Manchurian Food

The Manchus used to rule this part of China before they successfully invaded Han China in 1644 and conquered the country. Being traditional nomads, hunters and gatherers, and heavily influenced by their neighbour and competitor, the Mongolians, the food of the Manchus are generally rustic and hearty.
