"Fried Doughsticks"

Lunch @ the Friday Gourmet Market in Ljubljana.

 

I am not sure what is the exact name of this dish but I bought it because it looked good, especially when dusted with icing sugar.

 

But the oil used had turned a tad rancid and the strips/sticks not only tasted rancid, they were also doughy and chewy, not crunchy and crispy I thought they were....and after a bite or 2, we threw it away.....

 

So much for "Gourmet".....! One truly cannot judge a book by its cover.
