Anchovies

Lunch @ a small little seafood place in mesmerising Brijuni.

 

This is a place my Slovene mate and his Mrs love and today, by virtue of 2 extra guests, the owner sent in a complimentary plate of fresh pickled anchovies and preserved anchovies served in olive oil.

 

I generally am not a fan of fishes but these were well prepared. I preferred the pickled version better as the preserved version was too briney and brought up some fishy overtones which I am not a fan of.
