Lunch @ Polin Monastery's meal hall. (This is the HK$98 basic package)

 

Lovingly long-boiled wintermelon soup....brewed so long that the wintermelon flesh had turned translucent and was ready to fell off the skin like soft jelly.

 

The Cantonese just adored soup and soup is the soul of each meal. To ask a Cantonese not to drink soup is unbearable.
