Cheese Cake Of Muscat Pumpkin, Candied Kumquat & Pumpkin Seed Oil Ice Cream

Dinner @ "Restaurant La Rotonde" (The less prestigious sibling of the Michelin-starred "The Alcron").

The dessert of the evening! I always harbour trepidations about cheese cakes - they are always dense and heavy affairs - deserved to be called a meal in their own rights.

But here, the "snake" of cheesecake was fluffy and light, almost ethereal (which reminded me a lot of Japanese cheese cakes which are as soft as marshmallows), well paired with sparkling sharp passion fruit and kumquat glaze. The pieces of candied pumpkins were great on their own as they were. How I wish every cheese cake could be served thisaway!
