Venison Loin With Green Pea Purée & Salsify

Dinner @ "Restaurant La Rotonde" (The less prestigious sibling of the Michelin-starred "The Alcron").

 

Probably the best main dish of the lot that the group tried. This venison was well prepared, seasoned and cooked - bringing succulent and juicy joys to all that sampled.

 

And we get the chance to try salsify, an edible root not quite found in Asia. Slightly crunchy, it reminds of Discorea, a close relative of the yam (taro).
