Chocolate Fondant With Sour Cherries & Mint Sorbet

Dinner @ "Restaurant La Rotonde" (The less prestigious sibling of the Michelin-starred "The Alcron").

 

Can I say that the best thing about this dessert was the mint sorbet? In fact, I advocated that the restaurant should serve the mint sorbet as a dessert in its own right! It was so refreshing, so flavourful and utterly delightful.

 

The fondant was a tad "dry" - the liquid chocolate lava was more magma. Mates at the table seems to adore the chocolate taste nonetheless but I have never been a huge chocolate fan and so I wasn't too impressed.
