Lunch @ "西贝莜面村", a restaurant chain offering mainly Northwestern Chinese cuisine.
Another Shaanxi province staple, consisting of a minced meat sauce sandwiched between 2 buns. Unfortunately, I am not a big fan of the restaurant's version - I am not sure if it was the diced capsicum or if the restaurant had added some medicinal herbs to flavour the sauce, the meat sauce tasted earthy and herbal, and it was pretty overpowering. It was like eating ginseng. I could only muster a couple of mouthfuls.
