蓝姜番石榴 (Pickled Guava With Galangal)

Lunch @ "莲花素食馆", a vegetarian restaurant across from Kaiyuan Temple.

 

Interesting dish this was; as this was combo I have never encountered. The guava pieces were really sweet and soft, all ripened; but the grated galangal topping was a tad herbaceous and I wasn't sure it was that perfect a pairing.
