Orange Beef (陈皮牛肉)
Lunch @ "Fortune Cookie", a restaurant offering American-Chinese style chow.
"Battered and double-fried to achieve crispy and succulent awesomeness, then wok tossed in orange sauce"
The orange sauce was not as citrusy as I was expecting, despite generous pieces of dried tangerine peels It was more savoury and tangy then sweet and citrusy. It was also a tad on the mild spicy side but nothing to trouble my mate and myself.
The fried battered beef was surprisingly moist and not at all chewy or rubbery. Nothing too outstanding but nothing to whinge about as well.
