Churros

Lunch @ 'Maya', a Mexican restaurant.

 

Are these Churros? I do think they resemble Porros more.

Mate was really intrigued by them, as the restaurants called them "Doughnuts" but they resemble Chinese Fried Doughsticks (Youtiao). However, the texture of these Churros/Porros was a lot more crumbly and so despite appearances, they are not really anywhere near Youtiao in texture.
