Mulberries {Morus} (桑葚)

Silk is forever linked to China and where there is silk, there is the Mulberry Tree as the silkworms love to feed on mulberry leaves.

 

The mulberries are edible, a tad tart but sweet when fully ripened and looking a smidgen like blackberries but has a more catty berry character.

 

They go really well with cereals and yoghurt!
