炸猪排 (Shanghai-style Fried Pork Chop)

Lunch @ "老盛兴苏州汤包馆".

Seemingly an old-school franchise famous for its steamed dumplings but I have not encountered them till a new branch popped up near my apartment.

Shanghai-style, serves fried pork chop (considered a western influenced dish from the old colonial-concession days) with Worcestershire sauce (辣酱油).

The pork chop was surprisingly well fried, tender and moist on the inside, while crispy and lightly crusty (from breadcrumbs) on the outside.

I find myself enjoying this side dish more than I expected!
