椰奶紫薯露 (Purple Sweet Potato With Coconut Milk)

Dinner @ "Awanas" (满金香)....a restaurant offering Singaporean/Malaysian food near my place, opened by an owner from Hong Kong, cooked by a Shanghainese chef.

 

A fusion of Shanghai and Southeast Asia: Shanghai's Purple Sweet Potato + Southeast Asia's Coconut Milk.

 

I was expecting more of a cream or a milk type dessert.....but the purple sweet potato was more of a thick puree. Sweet, warm and decadently rich - To its credit, it was probably the most enjoyable of the 3 dishes of the evening.
