Turkish Coffee (土耳其咖啡)

Lunch @ "Blackpepper", a newly opened Turkish restaurant in Shanghai.

Like the Greek counterpart, Turkish coffee is a 'sludgy' affair. Strong, robust and bitter if taken without sugar, it is also grainy, earthy and even muddy in taste. It's an acquired taste really but anyone who appreciates it, is quickly taken on a ride back to the Mediterranean and the Aegean!
