仙草冬瓜露 (Grass Jelly In Winter Melon Drink)

Dinner @ "佰家仟味" -Food from Anhui Province (安徽省), usually termed "皖菜".

 

This is a Taiwanese concoction - sweet, caramelic and refreshing. The restaurant had recently added Taiwanese dishes to the menu, probably in an effort to draw in more customers as Taiwanese cuisine is more widely accepted than cuisine from a lesser known culinary vein.
