家味小米糕 (Steamed Millet Cakes)

Dinner @ "佰家仟味" -Food from Anhui Province (安徽省), usually termed "皖菜".

 

This is actually a Shanghainese dessert - sweetened steamed millet flour cakes (with eggs) - they are almost like steamed sponge cakes except they are more moist and elastic, and one of the few local desserts in Shanghai that is actually of a sweetness level that I find pleasant.
