仟味捞虾 (Saucy Prawns)
Dinner @ "佰家仟味" -Food from Anhui Province (安徽省), usually termed "皖菜".
Fresh cooked prawns, served with cooked celery and mung bean sprouts in a salty soy based sauce. It is almost similar to the spicy "water poached' culinary style of Sichuan, except oil is not used. In this Sichuan style of cooking, fresh proteins are quickly poached in hot water, drained and then drowned in hot oil with celery sticks, cucumber slices and soy bean sprouts.
Sounds similar but tasted totally different. I found the soy gravy a tad on the salty side but the prawns and the vegetable were fresh and well cooked.
