Fried Mackerel

Dinner @ Storyboard Beach Resort on Peleliu Island, run by a Filipino family.

 

I frowned. First it was fish. Black fish.

Then they was quite over-fried - the meat was as stiff as a wooden plank and it was a struggle trying to chew through the cellulose fibres.....oops, I meant, the flesh.

 

I took one piece, ate half of it and then tried to hide the other half by tearing and slicing them up into small pieces and trying to dispose of them as discreetly as I can.
