芋頭餅 (Fried Yam Biscuits)

Street Food! Snacks from "林家番薯碰".

 

Yam paste sandwiched between crackers, battered and then deep-fried.

I must say I have not really tasted a street food quite like this.

 

I love the crunch I get when I bite into it, as the crackers shattered and crumbled to yield the rich (and hot!) molten yam paste in between.
