白糖糕 (Fried Sugar Puff)

Street Food! Snacks from "林家番薯碰".

 

Back home, there is a steamed cake made with sugar, that looks like layered of crystallined snow. I would imagine, if I throw that into a deep-fryer, this is what I would get!

 

Almost like a pretzel; but a lot more airier.

Think of it as hardened doughnut if you will.

 

It was nice but I am not really bowled over.

Done
