Crema Catalana

Lunch @ "The Commune Social" (www.communesocial.com/), a Tapas Bar, associated with Jason Atherton.

 

Not quite unlike the Crema Catalana I baked in Barcelona - this was served with the pieces of sugar crust piercing the pudding and thus doesn't look one bit like "Creme Brulee" which Crema Catalana should actually resemble.

 

Then said, it was a lovely dish. The fresh berries and sprigs of mint do wonders to punch in freshness and acidity, brightening up the otherwise creamy dessert.
