Tea Marinated Seabass With Gazpacho Dressing & Garnish
Lunch @ "The Commune Social" (www.communesocial.com/), a Tapas Bar, associated with Jason Atherton.
There were a number of cured tuna and cured salmon on the menu but I am more inclined to try the cooked dishes. Unfortunately, this seabass, although tasty, was not spectacular.
To its full credit, the fish was fresh and the skin seared crispy. But aside from the colourful display of flowery garnishes, the dish lacked a 'wow' factor. And I am not really a fan of the stewed white flava beans hiding in a bed below the fish. I know flava beans are common in Spanish cooking but I do not think it lends its presence well here as I do not think it contributes anything to accentuate the taste of this dish.
