Budae Jigae (Korean Army Base Stew) AFTER

Dinner in a Mall Food Street eatery.

 

10-15 minutes over a fire, everything has been boiled and softened down to a burbling mess. Despite the mix-&-match nature of the ingredients, they gelled in pretty well, delivering a meaty broth, rich in mouthfeel and umami - greatly satisfying.

 

Yes, it was spicy again but it was good fodder for a cold winter evening.
