Computational Bookshelf

I was tasked with designing a bookshelf for our living-room by my "in-house" producer Theresa. :)

 

I had just watched this TED speech and may have been inspired by the potential for simple parameters creating complex patterns.

I love how it lends itself to so many permutations. Constantly able to refresh itself with a simple rotation of a unit or the rearrangement of a storage box.
