The Hobbit (39/43)

“And already the gate was blocked with a wall of squared stones laid dry, but very thick and high, across the opening. They climbed in or out with ladders, and hauled stuff up with ropes.”

This was a tricky vignette and I almost didn’t build it because I couldn’t come up with an idea to show the main entrance to the Lonely Mountain on such a small base. The prospect of the fun I’d have when I can build a little crane convinced me to give it a try nevertheless. I’m glad I did it. Thank you, little crane.
