Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 30
Chapter 37
It was a bright and sunny day; Fang bounded out of the open door as they approached, barking and wagging his tail madly.
’Who’s that?’ called Hagrid, coming to the door. ‘Harry!’
He strode out to meet hem, pulled Harry into a one-armed hug, ruffled his hair and said, ‘Good ter see yeh, mate. Good ter see yeh.’

Well, this is it – after almost a month and many, many hours in my LEGO lair, a lot of stress, fun, frustration, motivation and positive chaos, the journey ends for me with my 30th Harry Potter vignette. It is a bittersweet farewell.
Like some of my predecessors, I took the chance to build one larger MOC. It took me quite some time to decide which one it will be. I didn’t want to build Harry in a hospital bed, because it has been done before more than once.
I didn’t want to build the Great Hall, especially since the final Great Hall scene in ‘The Goblet of Fire’ is pretty unpretentious – there are no tables and no decorations apart from black drapes.
Then I realised that Harry, Ron and Hermione say farewell to Hagrid before they leave for the summer. Bingo!
Due to the complexity of Hagrid’s hut, I decided to put him into the vignette, but leave Harry, Ron and Hermione out – otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to see much of the hut itself behind all the minifigs.
I’m happy to announce that the extremely talented Vaionaut is my successor. Enjoy his creations for ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ – I know I will.
