’Told you, I was joking,’ said George. He walked over to Fred, pulled the letter out of his hands, and began attaching it to the leg of the nearest barn owl.

In the film, there is a scene where Harry enters the Owlery alone in the early morning hours to receive a letter from Sirius. I liked the scene very much – the place, the architecture of the lonely, windowless tower, the atmosphere – and as a result, wanted to include the Owlery to my series of vignettes.

 

The scene from the book is a bit different, but at least allowed me to build the Owlery based on the film design.
