Leaky windows

Lomo Lubitel 2 ~ Fuji Superia 400

This camera was a gift, from the very lovely slithy-toves... thank you slithy, for getting me into the world of 120 roll film!

The shots from this first roll came out better than I could have hoped. They're all in focus, for a start (maybe there's a knack to getting the focussing right, but I found the little magnifier and ground glass screen approach tricky, to say the least), and vaguely pointing in the right direction (I still find this aspect of using a TLR deeply unintuitive... whichever way I wanted to move the viewfinder, I completely failed to find the right combination of hand/arm movements. I must have made a comical sight, gingerly waving my arms about, in a sort of slow-motion expressive dance). And I seem to have got the exposure in the right ballpark, too, thanks to the sunny-16 rule.

Even with what is, by all accounts, an, er, less than pro-quality lens, I'm amazed by how much detail there is in a 6x6 negative. I love this camera... it's such fun! Even with the light leaks...
