ephemeral
The mysterious figure is a reflection of the statue of Isaak Walton, the author of "The Compleat Angler" which was first published in 1653 as a guide to the "art and spirit" of angling.
The statue is located on "Chocolate Island" in the Kennet and Avon canal, so called because this is where Huntley and Palmer stored chocolate for use in biscuit production. The factory was located roughly where the buildings on the right of the image are. Production of biscuits was ceased in 1976. The statue of Isaak Walton was erected in 1992.
