The Fog
Against better judgement, I decided to head out on a rainy and foggy night this past weekend. The thick fog made a 20 minute drive feel like an hour, and the rain wasn't helping matters either. Surprisingly, the rain ceased when I arrived at South Deshler and the fog thickened even more. With more rain moving in, my time window was small, but with Q501 pulling around the southwest wye and Q507 coming south on the main, there were actually trains to help me out.
In the wildest, thickest fog I've ever seen, southbound Q507 does its best to light up the scene at South Deshler with a pair of notched out SD70MAC's and 12,000+ feet of train in tow. Just a few minutes later, the skies opened up and a downpour ensued, and the fog all burned away.
