Silent organ and empty chairs in the Church of the Holy Cross (Heilig-Kreuz-Kiche), Berlin
"Built in 1888 and refurbished in 1995, the Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche is a community, cultural and event centre quite unique across Germany. The building is open for church services, but also for festivals, art and cultural events, advice and encounters, or exchanges between people of different faiths. The church is centrally located on Blücherplatz in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district. The church has become popular for events of up to 550 guests, from galas and receptions to conferences and lectures. The Kirchgarten (Cherry Orchard) with its little waterfall is ideal for unwinding after events or as a summer location. A special feature: music from Bach to the Beatles on the church’s Hook organ."
