Between semesters, on Thursday, January 9, 2014, Washington University faculty and staff from across disciplines gathered on the Danforth Campus to share insights on teaching and learning at the biennial i teach symposium co-sponsored by The Teaching Center, WU Libraries, and Arts & Sciences.
Held every other year in January, the all-day event featured interactive presentations by WUSTL instructors, as well as plenty of time for informal discussions among colleagues. Along with a plenary address titled "Fostering a 'Growth Mindset' on Teaching," the program included 16 sessions on metacognition, active learning, mobile devices, digital projects, self-questioning, visualization, and more.
