'The Champ' on test: D1015 'Western Champion' undertook a main line test working on 10th January 2024. Initially working light engine from Kidderminster to Avonmouth, and then piloting GBRf Class 66714 'Cromer Lifeboast' on the 6M42 0915 Avonmouth - Penyffordd cement working as far as Haresfield Loop, where D1015 unhooked to return to Kidderminster, again light engine.
