Stanway Viaduct-GWR

Stanway Viaduct is situated just north of Toddington, on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, and is probably the major engineering structure on the line. It has history, as a number of it's arches collapsed during construction in 1903, but this disaster did not deter the constructors and the viaduct was completed in 1904. It is situated on the GWR's 'northern extension', and trains recommenced on this section from Toddington to Laverton in 2010. The next big step forward will be reaching Broadway, which ironically, is situated in Worcestershire. Will that necessitate a name change for the railway? The grandeur of Stanway Viaduct is evident as No. 7820 Dinmore Manor makes it's way across the structure during a photographic charter on 3rd April 2014.
