Helen B. Coe
Description: Portrait of Miss Helen B. Coe taken by photographer J.A. Brush Minneapolis, Minnesota. Helen was born March 18, 1858 in Minnesota and moved to Whidbey Island in 1896. She served as Mayor of Langley (1920-1922) and was instrumental in establishing the Langley Public Library. She died in 1940 and is buried in the Langley Woodmen Cemetery. Handwritten on reverse: "With Love, Helen Coe." in Helen's handwriting. Type on reverse: "Artistic Photographer J.A. Brush. Cor. Hennepin Ave & 6th St. Minneapolis, Minn. Children's Pictures a Specialty."
