Temporarily reducing the I-5 speed limit between Burlington and Bellingham
Crew members from Granite Construction look over one of the five new temporary speed limit signs that will be installed on northbound I-5 between Burlington and Bellingham. The first sign will be installed just north of the SR 20 interchange in Burlington.
The signs are changeable, and allow crews to reduce the speed limit to 60 mph while they are working on I-5, and switch them back to 70 mph when they leave.
The signs are expected to be used beginning the week of June 13. Please watch for the speed reduction signs and our crews. You can help us to keep traffic flowing smoothly and keep the work zone safe.
