US 2 bridges get new pavement
Once new waterproofing material is applied to the US 2 bridge decks that are being rehabilitated, a new roadway can be paved on top. The process requires absolutely dry conditions to make sure the waterproofing material doesn't "steam up" and create bubbles during the application of hot mix asphalt. The project is rehabbing 19 bridges on a 23-mile stretch of US 2 between Gold Bar and Skykomish. It is scheduled to wrap up in late 2020. -ff
