The SR 99 tunneling machine's reassembled front end is lifted over the access pit on Aug. 24, 2015. Seattle Tunnel Partners, the contractor responsible for designing and building the SR 99 tunnel, lowered the piece back into the pit as part of their effort to repair the machine and resume tunneling.
