Gov. Jay Inslee celebrates imminent completion of the SR 520 Eastside project
"By bike, bus, or car this project will make the ride safer," said Gov. Jay Inslee at the SR 520 Eastside ribbon cutting event marking the completion of the project.
The SR 520 Eastside Transit and HOV Project brings a wide range of improvements, from a new transit and HOV lane in each direction to a new regional bicycle and pedestrian path next to the highway. It also provides a variety of environmental enhancements, including stormwater treatment and fish- passage culverts, along with three new community-connecting lidded overpasses, two of which feature median transit stops.
