I recently returned from 8 great days in Colorado for the 2018 fall color season. I photographed the fall colors in many places in and around Ridgway, the Dallas Divide, Ouray and Telluride and then some. This was my fourth year of doing so.

 

I met up with a couple fine photographers (Ryan Smith and Nick Selway) for about 5 days and had a great time.

 

In the past, I'd shoot the fall colors in Jackson Hole, Wyoming but I have to admit that while the fall colors are really nice in Jackson Hole, you are truly missing great fall colors if you have not been to Colorado.

 

Here is a capture from a little secret area I always like to visit in the McClure's Pass area, an area you cannot see from the road. You just have to know where it is.
