My first 2014 photography trip to the Teton Mountains of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and to Grand Teton National Park was from May 15-19. The ice on many of the larger lakes were starting to melt. Jackson Lake was still half frozen.

 

As I made my usual rounds to check out various sites, I was driving along Shadow Mountain Road a little over a mile north of the Antelope Flats Road stop sign.

 

Up to that time, Jackson Hole was receiving frequent rains. Hence, I wanted to check out various shallow ponds and pools that I knew would have water and present a nice reflection of the Teton Mountains.

 

So I visited the Shadow Mountain Road reflecting pools and took this 4 shot pano of the first of two side by side reflecting pools. Depending on the amount of rain Jackson Hole receives in the spring, these pools might be around as late as early July ... it all depends on the rain.
