A Belle for the Win
After a kind of rough morning, we were looking for something to improve our disposition today. The weather cooperated with nice skies and just about 60 degree temps to enjoy. We were in Griffith trying to get both of my watches' batteries replaced, and that will have to wait. Trying to get something to eat didn't work out, either, as we found our pick for eats was doing on-line only. But we spotted a clear signal in town and figured what did we have to lose? A fellow railfan pulled up and brightened my day, saying we were in for a treat. Sadly, I didn't get his name, but he was certainly right as this KCS GE slowly came at us. He was crawling towards a welder working on the curve at Main Street. I thought I was going to get some really fine wide angle stuff as he walked past me on the curve. Then, things went back to normal as my camera battery died, though I had just checked it about 15 seconds earlier. So, no neat wide angle stuff to post, but there will be several more shots like this for you to endure. Interesting, when I got home I found that all three batteries I had for my D600 were dead. I guess I need to get out more.
